Whether you’re being photographed or presenting on Zoom, on-camera nerves are real!
Each time I step in front of the camera, I get a firsthand glimpse of what my clients often experience when I’m the one behind the lens.
The nerves kick in. You start to question: Do I look okay? What will my friends, family, or colleagues think of me? Will I be judged? Or will I be accepted?
During a recent photoshoot in Sydney with my associate photographer, I had to practice what I preach. The key to feeling confident on camera isn’t just about how you look; it’s about inner alignment, self-awareness, and embracing your authentic self.
Here are some questions I use to help clients build that confidence:

🔹 What do I want to communicate about myself?
(Clarifying your message brings focus and purpose)
🔹 What qualities do I admire most about myself?
(Focusing on your strengths helps project confidence)
🔹 What story do I want to tell through my image?
(Shifting from looks to storytelling reduces anxiety)
🔹 How would I show up if I fully embraced my uniqueness?
(Embrace what makes you different—it’s your power)
🔹 What fears come up when I think about being seen? How can I reframe them?
(Reframing fears as growth opportunities shifts your mindset.)
🔹 What message do I want others to receive from my presence?
(Visualise the energy you want to project to others)
