Fastest way to 'on-camera' confidence

🤔Want to know the fastest way to 'on-camera' confidence?

REALISE THAT OUR INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES ARE ACTUALLY WHAT MAKE US ALL THE SAME.

By understanding this, you will release the pressure to try to be 'perfect' in the eyes 👀 of others and drop the need to look, act or be like anyone else😁🙌.

You'll also realise that YOU are actually your worst critic and if you can let go of self judgement first, then you won't need to fear judgement from others.👍

I've been a professional photographer 📸 and on-camera confidence coach for over a decade and I can honestly say that at least 90% of my clients start the photo session feeling a sense of self doubt and nervous tension, especially when it comes to how they PERCEIVE themselves in photos.

"I'm just not photogenic" is a common one.

Sadly, it's so easy for most people to get caught up thinking about the so-called 'flaws' during a photoshoot and let that get in the way of simply accepting who they are and how they look (or think they look👀).

I'm sure some of these thoughts sound familiar.

"I hope my nose doesn't look as big as it did last time I was in a photograph?"

"Can she see how big my forehead is? I really hope this doesn't show up in the photos"

"I've got one eye bigger than the other"
"My eyes are too narrow"
"My teeth have too many gaps"
"My cheeks are too big when I smile"
"I hope she can get rid of the sunspots on my hands"

My job as a portrait photographer is about helping my client channel positive self image thoughts so that the feelings of self doubt aren't reflected in the photos.

It's not always an easy job but I absolutely love it and it's my mission to reframe the negative inner dialogue and create a new picture (literally) of who that person is in front of my camera.

Words like bold, intelligent, visionary, leader, unstoppable🔥 spring to mind.

When I see my client release the critical thoughts and shift into a perspective of self acceptance, I'm hooked.

This is when I see true on- camera confidence👌and it's magnetic 🧲

Remember, we are ALL different and that is why we are not separate from each other.

It's time to celebrate what makes you Unique and claim the part of you that is excited to BE SEEN.

💫Would love to hear your take on this. What has helped you to overcome your critical mind when being photographed?
