How to feel Unstoppable in front of the Camera

OK, let's be honest, the thought of being photographed doesn’t make jump up for excitement?

Recently I had my own editorial photoshoot and it was nothing short of fun and empowering...

My photographer assistant commented on how easy I was to photograph (she basically just kept pressing the shutter whilst I naturally moved from one position to another) and it got me thinking again...

Why does it feel easy for me to relax in front of the camera but not for everyone?

I have to admit, I've never been one to shy away from the camera (I trained as an actor too which may have helped!).

However, I believe that the years spent coaching my clients on how to free up their critical mind and trust the creative process has also been subconsciously transferred onto me.

What I've found over the years of photographing hundreds of incredible industry leaders is that it's the judgement from others (often a critical parent!) that’s a major barrier to showing up in their career/business and letting themselves be authentically seen.

During my recent photoshoot I allowed myself to play, to breathe and to be guided by my body (not my mind).

When a negative thought crept in - "this is not a great angle for me", "do my hands look awkward", "gosh, am I really going to show these photos to anyone?" - I acknowledged the thought and then quickly chose to release it.

Instead of letting the judgy mind take over, I gave myself full permission to express myself freely.

And it felt great!

I'm proud to say that I'm now at the stage where I know I have nothing to hide. I am who I am and am not afraid to show it.

The beauty of this is that I'm excited to be SEEN and this has a positive ripple effect on the growth of my business and to the people in my community.

It feels empowering to confidently step into my own next level of visibility and to coach my client's on their next level of visibility too.
